Ford F-150
does anyone here own a Ford F-150? I'm planning on buying a 1998 next
week it has 60,000 miles, 4.6 triton v-8 just wanted to know a little about them. I will be towing a 1997 20 javelin w/ a 200 johnson.

I will be towing a 1997 20 javelin w/ a 200 johnson. I towed 4400# boat with a 99 Expedition, same engine. Will tow fine, but they do like gas. Most I ever got was 16.5 mpg without towing. Outside Calif, probably 10% more milage.

Yeah, you could say that. I offered to get an "X" plan for ppl in here. The

I dunno Warren, I own three Chevy trucks for my business. They are good
trucks, but the main reason I went with Chevy trucks had nothing to do with quality or features. I have owned an F-250 and an F-150 in the past. They were great trucks too. I currently still have a 1965 F-250 as a yard truck. It sits for long periods, and always starts up when we need to move equipmebt around in the yard. The main reason I went with Chevy was because of front end help on sales. I walked in and said, "I need a truck for my business." The first one I had a good deal on and drove it off the lot before they even had the paperwork ready. The next two trucks were the same way. Although my family owns a lot of GM stock, and my father in law is a retired GM principal exec, I would buy a Ford ina minute if I had gotten the same quality no nonsense service and a good price on the truck.
