I'm about this close to purchasing a 2004 Tracker Pro-Guide V-16 WT,
deep V, with 40HP. I sure would appreciate any advice from anyone who has had any experience pro or con, especially if you have any negatives. I will be using the boat in a big freshwater lake mainly, but would like to drop it in a salt bay once in a while. Thanks guys. Jack. |

what is the boat rated for? the 40 sounds a little under powered. that is
the one downside to bass pro. they tend to sell underpowered packages to keep the price low. crownliner "JackTr" wrote in message om... I agree! No idea on the boat but as far as motor size and weight of the boat
are very similar to my Alumacraft Lunker 16Ltd. Go for the 60 if you like the boat or you will be disappointed. I have a 40 Honda on my boat and 28-30mph is tops after trying 4 different props. Nice looking boat, but I'ld sure give serious consideration to going with
the 60HP outboard. "JackTr" wrote in message om... I'm about this close to purchasing a 2004 Tracker Pro-Guide V-16 WT, deep V, with 40HP. Thanks for responding guys. Seems like I should get a bigger engine.
Lake Hopatcong, in Northwestern NJ is where I fish mostly. Excellent in Spring and Fall. Also, there are a couple of resevoirs that I like, in the Newark Watershed system. Caught a 29 lb. musky in one of them last season. Let me know if you want any details. "Bob La Londe" wrote in message ... With my past boating exp. w/ smaller alum.boats, maybe consider 24v trolling
motor. I`m not sure if one is standard or option. But you wont be disappointed on windy days........ "Bob La Londe" wrote in message ...
