One of the heart meds kicks my ass every morning - I have about 2 hours of almost normalcy and then I'm in a haze all day. I have to live the zombie lifestyle for at least another 4 weeks at which time it gets worse for another 6-8 weeks. Then, if everything goes as planned, I'll be close to where I was last October. Recipe for the 'Kinda Ausable Wullf' Hook: Standard #12 dry fly Thread: 8/0 orange Uni Wing: Snowshoe hare foot undivided. Tail: Woodchuck tail fibers (or substitute woodchuck guard hairs or moose mane). Body: burnt orange Aussie Possum. Hackle: 12 wraps of brown, or six each of grizzly and brown. Bushy. Comments: You need to use Frogs Fanny or another powdered floatant on this because the paste types will mat down the hare hair. When I tie these for bluegill fishing (size 8 and 10) I use calf tail wings for easier floating. I like the snowshoe hare for the size 12 and 14s I use for trout. |

I'm doing OK - nothing dangerous. snip Yeah, it's just your heart, and you have a spare, right? ;-) Take it easy my friend, and get your boys to start giving you my phone messages. I was about ready to start checking the local morgues. -- TL, Tim ------------------------ http://css.sbcma.com/timj |

TL: My minions are going to Somerset in a few weeks and I have a couple of colors they need to find. I could really use a light dun and a couple more yellow/orange. And a green calf tail... Tied up some very nice clones of your green drake dun last week (we have two samples) - look fine aside from the drab wing colorg. Also need one of those Brahma hens in a light gray... ****, I should make a listg -- Stan (still kickin) |

What you need to look for in the way of calf tail is Flourescent Chartreuse. Have the minions go in search of English Angling Trappings for the bunny feet....they seem to be the best source at the moment. Get well, willya. Tom |
