Default MFITONS and the other Suddern Boys

Hi all:
The invite has been passed around a few times to meet up with all y'all for
some fishing if I was ever down in your neck of the woods. It appears that I
have in my possession a plane ticket back to the USofA during spring break,
and I am planning to be in the DC area with a rental car, fly rod, and some
time to spare during the semiweek of March 27-31. I have some errands to
attend to and relations to visit with while I'm there, but I could happily
make plans for a day of fishing at either end of that time window. I know
its mid-week for those who are working, but is anyone interested in getting
together and wetting a line? I'm thinking of something like a drive down on
the afternoon of the 29th, fishing the 30th, then I could head back to DC
for my outbound flight on the evening of the 31st. Of course, I might have
more flexibility than others, so I can adjust accordingly.

Hmm?

a distinct possibility, if the weather cooperates. let's see how the
temp rises towards the end of the month.

You gotta place to stay, if you wanna fish a stream in my area. I will take
the time off to fish with ya, should you decide to head this way.

Let me know some thing, when ya can.

Thanks, that might be a great starting point, Mark. Where do you live, and
is there good water nearby? Are there other roffians in the neigborhood?

--riverman
And is it likely that we won't be ice fishing? I've been living at 3deg S
for a few years, and have forgotten what Winter means in the eastern
seaboard.

The famous Upper Creek is Opie's home turf. Walt and, I think, Snakefiddler
are nearby. It's about a 7 hour drive for me so I might decide to drive up if
that's where you end up going.

I live he http://tinyurl.com/6duu4

We can fish this and many other areas: http://tinyurl.com/68udq

Here's the link to: http://www.ncwildlife.org/

You've been informed of the Ruffian crowd, and yes there is a great deal of
GOOD water nearby. I fish for wild trout primariy, but there is a stocking
chart--by county--at the wildlife site.

As far as the temp goes, I con't say for sure, but I expect temps to run in
the 60s by then. Ice fishin' not likely.

Here's a topo of the Upper Creek area. Hwy 181 is in the middle of the
photo. Upper Creek is to the right and Steel Creek is on the left.

Here's a good site with lots-o-info: http://wnctrout.com/
