Got my 2005 catalog from my wholesaler this morning and noticed he had added
articulated flies to his offerings. they come in size 3/0 to 4 and cost me $1.25 each. Am sure they can be used for bass, but has anyone tried using them as a streamer for trout? What size would you use? Indian Joe |

Indian Joe IJ, they are commonly used for Steelhead, which rw made clear is nothing more than a big trout, so it seems a natural for larger leeches. If someone were really good with micro-tying, I think they could be good for nymphs and such. |

http://montana-riverboats.com/pages/..._Streamer.html The Doctor Fly has a rear-mounted hook, so you have to throw a surgeons loop over the front end of the foam body to keep it from collapsing backwards. The end result is a fly that swims like a worm. Same thing for the Roadkill Streamer. |

I was fishing a San Juan worm yesterday. I think I'll make an articulated
version of that. Many of the hits I got were short, on the end of the worm. -- Frank Reid Reverse email to reply |
