Default WAY OFF TOPIC - But Could Use YOur Help!

I could really use your opinion for a paper I am writing. PLEASE don't
respond here in this forum, but rather by email to

1. Do you believe racism is dead in the United States? yes/no
1a. why?
2. Do you believe there is equality here in the United States?
2a. why?
3. Do you believe people are no longer judged by their skin color, but
rather by their individual conduct?
3a. why?
4. Would you feel threaten if a group of young man wearing hooded coats,
sunglasses, baggy jeans, etc., approached you if they we
4a. white?
4b. black?
4c. hispanic?
4d. asian?
4e. arab?
4f. indian?

5a. what is your race?
5a. What is your age?

6. Do you believe people of all races prefer to associate with other people
of their own race if given a choice?
6a. If yes, is this racism in your mind? yes/no

7. If you walked into a room and there was a group of whites, a group
blacks, a group of asians, a group of hispanics, etc., what group would you
choose to join?

8. If you walked into a room and there was young man of your race or an
older man of another race who would you choose to talk to?
8a. If you walked into a room and there was an older man of your race or a
young man of another race, who would you choose to talk to?

9. if you walked into a room and there was person of your race sitting there
with a stern look on their face, and another person of another race smiling
warmly at you as you entered the room, who would you choose to sit next to
and strike up a conversation with:
a. the person of your race
b. the person of another race

10. If you were hiring someone for a new position, and each was equally
qualified. Which of the following would play into your final decision:
a. race - yes/no
b. age - yes/no
c. marital status - yes/no
d. sex (male/female) - yes/no
e. religion - yes/no

11. Using the info supplied above (in question 10), who would you hire and
why?

12. Do you think interacial marriage is ok?
12a. Why do you feel that way?

13a. Do you feel affirmative action is still needed? yes/no

14. Do you feel any group deserves special rights? yes-no
14a. if yes, what group and why?
14b. if no, why?

Hey, Thank you again for those that replied. Your honesty means a lot to
me, and will go a long way towards helping me to put together a very
exciting paper.

I would appreciate a few more responses. I can assure you I do not pay
attention to your name, rather just your race and age.
