Default Another After Work Trip

I had the pleasure of taking a co-worker with me this evening to Boone's Fork on the BRP. My co-worker, Dewayne, doesn't flyfish, but he was interested seeing someone flyfish--up close and personal. Unfortunately, I am the only person he knows that flyfishes, too bad for him! I did the best I could, but only managed to bring three fish to hand in the hour that we spent on the stream. Dewayne didn't bring any fishin' gear along, but simply wanted to watch me cast a fly, and hopefully catch a trout. Hell, he got just as excited as I did, when I had a strike. We didn't fish for very long, as the evening storm clouds were gathering, ominously. I had intended to take a few pics, but forgot to get the camera out of the car, and was too lazy to walk back up the trail to get it.

Anyway, it was a good end to another fine day in the mountains of NC, and hopefully, Dewayne will accompany me across the cable on Upper Creek with either a flyrod in hand or his preferred spinnin' gear. In any case, Dewayne is a fine co-worker and fishin' buddy!

ah, grasshopper...you have learned the lesson well: a fishing companion
without fishing gear often makes for excellent fishing...keeps pleasant
company without interfering with your fishing. g

jeff (who's been blessed with fine fishing companions, although each of
the *******s insist on bringing their gear along BSEG)
