Default GPS maps on a computer?

Does anyone know if you can view the garmin maps on your computer? I would
like to just look at what the maps show. Any info..tips on this would be
appreciated!

Thanks! Mike

My roads & rec has a built in viewer that it installs. I think the Hotspots
can be viewed for all the CD, but the unlock code only allows a region to be
loaded and viewed on the GPS.

Bill,

Fishing Hotspots can be viewed on the PC, but only in the area that you have
unlocked. If you've only unlocked area 10 on you GPS, that's all you get on
the PC as well.

The softare allows you to view the maps, make waypoints, and upload and
downlaod wmaps and waypoint to/from the GPS unit. Atleast thats the way it
works with my 176 and 168. I used hte same software for both. I have the
Roads and Rec CD and the Topo Maps CDs. They all use the same software.
