Slowed down some up here...

Buddy & I went out to a really good natural lake that's been hot all
summer long. Water temp is down to 74, sly is bright and wind is
blowing. We managed 25 bass between 1 and almost 3 pounds, 1 on a
spinnerbait, one on a Carolina rig, one on a T-rigged worm, and all the
rest on the drop shot. We also caught 24 chain pickerel, including 3
that went near 5 pounds apiece, and when they're that big, they're
actually fun, especially on the light stuff, and every one we caught cam
on a DS rig. It was a fun day, but the way this lake's been fishing, I
expected more bass.
