I got a catalog from The Fly Shop in Redding, CA
in the mail today. What in the *hell* is that fish on the cover ? It's huge with brown trout like markings but a body shape that's more tuna than trout. Anybody know what that thing is ? And where do I go to catch one ? ;-) -- Ken Fortenberry |

So do these browns come into fresh water in the fall of the southern hemisphere ie March-May ? Wanna go? Why HELL yes. Do I need to sign adoption papers or anything ? ;-) -- Ken Fortenberry |

I believe they start coming into the rivers in late November, early December. They peak in February, but good fishing can be had until March. See page 153/154 of the catalog. The lodge is less than $4000 a week, and includes all drinks. Sorry, no Bud-wizzer, but some fine wine and whisky from what I am told. I had to cancel this year, but plan on doing it next February. Air fare is about $1200, and that ain't even business class. d;o( |

Something about the Rio Grande near the Chilean border. They're taking reservations now for 2007. |
