The Garmin 160 is pretty much toast... or at least it was the last few times
I was out on the water. So, I'm looking to replace it before March and can't decide on a unit. I bought an Eagle 320 for the front last year and was considering getting another. However, I really like Garmin, but don't care for the direction they have gone with the smaller units. They kind of remind me of the Humminbirds.... Any suggestions for a unit in the $200 to $300 range? Thanks Charles |

How about having Garmin rebuild your 160 for around $89 + shipping? -- Bob La Londe http://www.YumaBassMan.com LocalNet dialup IMO is a criminal organization. I use a Lowrance LMS-330C. It's a GPS/fishfinder combo. I love it.
It's color which is nice, it has a large screen so when I split the screen to do GPS and depth, I don't have to squint. For me with no sense of direction, the GPS is a must. It's a little above your price range, but may be worth considering. ridges54 |

Yes... I like this! I didn't know they were still available though.
I wouldn't even have to drill any new holes since I've been using the G160, nor worry about it getting in the way of my RAM mounted Garmin 162! Thanks Joe! "Joe Z" wrote in message ... "Charles B. I had one issue with it when I got it used with my latest boat and Garmin took care of it fast and friendly. Their support lured me away from 15+ years of Bottom Line whose support has gotten so bad I needed the South Dakota AG's help to get them to cover a warranty issue 2 years ago. That's the same model (240) that you've seen on my boat, and like Joe says,
I love it! It matches my 172 GPS. "Joe Z" wrote in message ... "Charles B. Summers" charles wrote in message ...
