Any other company, I would agree, but not with DuPont, I worked at
DuPont, my dad worked at a plant 38 years. DuPont has the highest
safety, and environmental record in the world. The management can and do
get fired if a man under them, cuts his hand, Most of OSHA rules were
taken from the DuPont Safety Manuals, and DuPont's safety rules far
exceed OSHA's. OSHA never even inspects DuPont Plants, at least the
didn't the whole 38 years my Dad was at one, the reason is when they
first started inspections, they found "ZERO" violations at any DuPont
facility. At the plant I was at, they had went 18 years without a single
"lost time" injury. SAFETY was our number one concern, it could stop
production in a heart beat, no rules were allowed to be broken for ANY
reason, if a forman was seen by a worker, breaking any safety rule, or
telling someone to break one, he was instantly terminated. The workers
had it a little better, first infraction was a three day lay off, next
one, even 20 years later, you were fired.

I would trust them, more than I would trust the government, much more
than the EPA.

Never let the facts stand in the way of an ideologically correct position.
