Driving in to work just a few minutes ago, I found myself behind a bigass
black Chevy Silverado pickup truck with bigass knobby tires and a bigass
jacked up suspension. In the lower left corner of the rear window was a
NASCAR sticker. In the lower right corner was a USMC sticker. And,
suspended from the bigass trailer hitch was......wait for it......a small
(or improbably large.....depends on how one looks at it) tan colored sack,
presumably made from a nylon stocking or at least the same material,
containing two spherical objects about the size of golf balls.

amusement.

In today's anti-intellectual climate, some folks like to advertise just how
"hip" they are.

Dan
....what? No sticker of Calvin ****ing on a Ford logo?

Actually, I think it's even simpler than that. And the balls, while
interesting in their own right, are actually totally unnecessary. I'd
wager that the larger the tires, the smaller the ...

Can the "Hummer" line possibly be a more clear example of that? I know, to
each his/her own, and hell, I'm sure there are things I do that others would
call stupid or compensating, or whatever. But jeez.... that's pretty
obvious, no?

Last month I saw a tricked out yellow Hummer in the supermarket parking lot.
It had a boat propeller on the back covering the trailer hitch and a big ass
snorkel thing from the exhaust pipe. On the roof was a 1/16 scale model of
the yellow Hummer complete with it's own propeller and snorkel. Weird. If
that had another 1/64 scale Hummer in it's roof, well I think that would
have made the whole thing completely over the top.

This guy makes it pretty clear why he has a Hummer:

Nope.

Hm.......

Well, one possibility consistent with the evidence comes to mind. Our young
friend may chosen the wrong place at the wrong time to decompress his
bladder.

Wolfgang
dang.....that has got to hurt!

I have seen a few rigs running around with what you described.

Something like this?

Something very much like that.....except that these were clearly in a fabric
sack of some sort. Much more realistic.

If it's any comfort, I suspect very few of them are either.
