Length x length x girth / 1200

20 inch bass 16 inch girth =

20 x 20 x 16 = 6400 / 1200 = 5.33

(PS: add .1 times the number of days since you last told how big the
fish was .. ie: today's 5.33 is 6.03 in a week and nearly 10 pounds in
a month!!)

Or LXGXG/900

OR take the two and average them together.

(((lXGXG)/900)+((LXLXG)/1200))/2

Length X Girth then weigh with scale, then weigh with friend's scale, double
check at butcher's scale, get three witnesses, and take pictures of it from
front, back, and both sides.

Carefully write it all down.

2.2 inches long
1.8 inches girth
1.9 ozs

Lure used 4.5 inches
Hooks #6 Extra wide gap treble

Yep new record.

Sounds like a northern I caught. 4.5 inch crank bait. 4 inch northern.
Treble hook in his mouth.

Careful. Someone might have a fit 'cos you're talking about a pike
instead of a bass
