Howdy,

SWMBO just got a letter and a check in the mail, and she is the
winner of the Grand Prize of the Flyfish.com's first photo contest:
http://www.flyfish.com/index.php

Her photo was one of me fishing Indian Creek in Yellowstone National
Park. She would probably like to disavow any knowledge of the photo,
as she's really gotten better by leaps and bounds since then. I would
also like to disavow any knowledge of the photo since it caught me in
mid ... er ... "cast", when she told me to "look like I was fly-fishing
or something". From the looks of the cast, I chose "something".

But, I submitted that photo when I learned about the contest, and
it has worked out pretty well. I got a Scott S-3 3-wt. to practice
with to improve my casting, and she got a check for $1,000 for her
photo winning the grand prize.

You are a Super-Mo-Dell.

Congrats, and that is far, far better a pic than I could dream of capturing.

But congrats to photog and Mo-Dell anyway!

Yeah, I guess I am. (And no, Vince, it's not just the clouds. :-)

Oh, I dunno ... with a mo-dell like me and a setting like that ...

Thanks, Tim. Will do. She was pretty surprised when I told her.
Her first thought was, "Cool, more photography gear for me!".

A woman after my own heart. :-)

I can't really remember, but I'm pretty sure it's happened.

If memory serves me correctly, she only just started being a photographer
when she took that pic, right? And this isn't the first award that this
particular photo has won? She definately has the touch.

Nice two handed cast, BTW. :-)

She was just starting to get serious about her photography about
this time. The photo won the Scott rod the month I entered it.

Actually, even though it looks like my offhand is on the reel, it's
holding the line right next to it. :-) Just don't look too closely at
what the line is doing overhead. :-}
