Default PENNS CLAVE RAFFLE

Yes, there will be a raffle this year!
We'll decide when and where later.
Probebly at Gene's cook in.
We're going to do something different.
Here's the format.......
Everybody who wishes to participate in the
raffle (that means everybody attending the
clave, you peckerwoods) will bring a book.
A book on Fly Fishing, fly tying, any aspect,
fiction, instruction, lore, history, whatever.
A good book.
A hard cover preferably.
One from your collection.
One you hate to part with.
Because you're going to receive a good one in return.
We'll raffle them and trade them until everyone is just sooo happy.
Then we'll get smashed and never bitch about raffles again. :-)

It's nice to have dreams, especially such lofty ones. ;-)

Is this in addition to a gear raffle? I have stuff that I have
available for such an occasion. It's reasonable good stuff but I have
never used it. Would it be worth seeing if people were interested in
both?

Count me in, Joel. I have a very nice book picked out.....
using your guidelines:
Dave Hughes--Trout Flies
This is one of the finest overall tying books on the market, and one I like
a lot, but am willing to contribute to some worthy ROFFian.

Some very nice ROFFians sent me the very same book several years ago. I
have no idea who these generous folks were, maybe one or two, I could guess
at, but otherwise just an extremely nice jester that I was and am not worthy
of. I have used Hughes' patterns for several of my tyin' attempts.

No - the book raffle is the raffle.

Would it be worth seeing if people were interested in
both?

Be my guest Gene. If it's anything like the way they
responded to your cook in invitation you'll be lucky if
you get any responses. As for me if your cooking
I'm eating. Just tell me where and when.
Joel
