Default Price of used Curados

Anyone want to guess what the deal is with the price of used Curado's on
ebay? Less then a year ago I bought 2 for $130 shipped. Now they are selling
for $120 each! Is it that it's summer time and people are starting to
replace their reels?

Maybe it has to do with them not being manufactured anymore? Very few
store have any old stock left.

Then again, are you talking about the old models or the new models?
Old might be in a higher bracket because of scarcity and new models
are more expensive.

I have an older Curado I would gladly part with for the price of a new
Scorpion!

Thought you all might be interested in this.

Additionally, if any of you have access to a military base, I have seen
them selling at AAFES for $99.00 brand new.

Tried to buy one there? I did and it did not work. I have purchased
reels from them in the past and my system works there just fine. This
time there was no way to get anything into the cart. This time only a
left hand 201B was available in the order section. Maybe your browser
loaded a page from it's memory?

Give it a try and let us know.

Which models? I would be interested in a 201FS.

I really like my Curado. It has never let me down. I lost the little click
button on the drag last year but that doesn't effect it at all.
I like the scorpion as well. I think it is a great reel for the same price
as a curado. I like the double brake system on the scorpion. I think
everything else on it is pretty much the same as the Curado.

Both great reels at a reasonable price in my opinion.

I sent my quantum Energy PT600 back to the factory. I have had nothing but
problems with it. I hope it performs up to speed when I get it back or they
just send me a next generation one.
