What hook do you normally use for soft thick bodied jerk baits like Bass
Assassins? Do you fish it with an exposed point and some form of weed guard? Do you fish it Texas rigged or skin hooked? -- Public Fishing Forums Fishing Link Index www.YumaBassMan.com webmaster at YumaBsssMan dot com |

Bass assassins are my favorite soft jerkbait, I fish them on a 6 6 med
heavy rod with 30lb stren braid on my scorpion, I use almost exclusively 4/0 red gammy wide gaps, If I start getting short strikes where they are folloowing and just nipping I switch to a 5/0 offset lunker city hook. The red hooks combined with the baby bass colored assassins has been a consistent producer for me and has been responsible for most of the bigger fish I have caught in the past year or two. Would take a bass assassin over just about any super fluke, IMO "Bob La Londe" wrote in message ... What hook do you normally use for soft thick bodied jerk baits like Bass Assassins? The assassins are heavier, and that baby bass color is unlike anything else
out there, it just screams I'm dying and helpless, eat me!!! I think the heavy bait also cause a bit more of a disturbance whne fished fast across the top "Marty" wrote in message ...
