Default OT More Bears in Alaska

From today's Times:

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/06/24/sp...4outdoors.html

================================================== ======================
By limiting each man to 55 pounds of gear, Dial and Geck left some
important items at home, including firearms. Basically, Dial and Geck
resemble a meal to the region's bears.

"I think the grizzlies have surprised us most on this trip," Dial said.
"I knew the bears would be curious, but not like this. They come running
for you from a half-mile away. To stand down these bears takes a lot out
of us, so we've tried to move past them without detection. Sometimes it
works."

Better them than me.
