I've got one... I've used it, and in my opinion, it makes an excellent prop
for photos of old-timey fishing tackle. Not much good for anything else,
though. If you want to use spincast reels, ones made in the past few years
are vastly improved over the old green Johnson.

well, I have been thru about z of them trying to find one better and cant.
Daiwa procast 80...long casts would wind line under the rotor.
Daiwa procast 100...same problem as above.
Daiwa triggerspin 80?...casts great then pickup pin engages for no reason
sending your lure back at you.
Daiwa goldcast 80....better but occassionally line stuck under rotor.
Johnson century 100...new model, died in 30 minutes...cheap junk.
Zebco prostaff...so far is working ok.
Johnson century 100b from the 1960's Great drag, outcasts everything
else I tried, smooth to use, lots of metal...great retro look, cheap,
were made in USA...very little collector interest.
I sometimes like to us a spincaster under docks or to slowly work
a worm across the bottom..

Speaking of 'old Johnsons' check out the column in this months Field &
Stream written by Rick Tosches. You'll get a chuckle.
