If anyone has any Zero-Halliburton cases, personally or for business and
of all types, camera, rifle, laptop, etc., with the dark grey foam, you might wish to replace the foam. In one of mine, the foam was disintegrating into a sticky, crumbling mess. Thankfully, there was nothing in it, but if there had been, it would have been bad news. Zero told me that they are aware of a _very_ few, um, pardon the pun, cases in which this has happened. When it has happened, they've cleaned/repaired what got damaged and, as they are doing for me, replaced the case, but IMO, it's better to be proactive rather than reactive. Apparently, they switched suppliers about 3 years ago, so if it is a newer case, it's probably OK. Some cases have a date on the inside, on the lock mechanism, some don't. TC, R |
