Question: I've tied up a bunch of HATCHING MIDGES and plan on tying some
HATCHING MAYFLY PMDs. ( from the book: Randall Kaufmann's "DRY FLIES") In both cases the wingcase and shuck are made of CDC. Can these be used with floatant or will it ruin them? Lou |

Never use any other kind of floatant or it will ruin the CDC. |

BUT, most emerger patterns are designed to be half in, half out, of the water ... be careful with that Frog's Fanny and only brush the "out" half or you'll halve the effectiveness of the pattern |
