Need recommendation for best "How to Fish" type book

I really enjoy fishing....I just don't really know what I'm doing. My
parents idea of fishing was a cane pole with a worm hooked on....and I
haven't really progressed a whole lot farther than that.

I'd like to know stuff like how to troll (do you need to put a weight
on? how much line do you put out?, etc). I'll be fishing in
freshwater (basically for trout with a spinning rod in NE Washington
lakes) as well in coastal (salt)waters in southern Baja from a small
boat.

Really appreciate some suggestions on books that might help me learn
what I'm supposed to be doing!
