I've posted a picture in abpf under the same name as this posting.
It's my son Andy with one of the Silvers he caught today.

We got up early this morning and drove up to the Cascade. I'd been
there yesterday, and brought home 2 silvers and released about 4
others, so we had high hopes. It was colder today, about 43 degrees
when we started, but the sun was coming out, and it was one of those
clear Fall days that tell you Winter is just around the corner.

The river was muddy still from the flood, visibility was only 6 inches,
but we moved below Jordan Creek and found the creek was introducing
enough clear water to make one side of the river quite fishable. I
started out with a dark fish, and then a 30 inch male with just a bit
too much color to bonk. Andy had a slow start, but by the end of the
day he had his limit of 4 and I only had one.

This year the silver fishing has been better than I'd ever experienced
it. Even when we went to Alaska a few years ago it wasn't this good,
but we had the misfortune of being there for the worst run on record.

Andy also caught a nice Dolly/Bull trout, about 24 inches. There's a
picture on abpf of this one too.

We finished off the day bushwacking into a creek looking for more
dollies. It was a nice spot, but a bit too obscure to describe.

I'm not sure, but these silvers have hundreds of small black leeches on
their fins, and sometimes on the chin too, maybe he's picked it up from
the fish?

Those are wonderful photos. You have certainly nailed the salmon up there
this year.
