As great an upset as ASU/Mich was at the time, subsequent events
changed the perspective a bit. Michigan ended up 8-4, while ASU takes
the Div I Championship. Sure, there were in different divisions; but
their level of play was obviously comparable. Which takes me down
Memory Lane a bit.

I remember way back when, there used to be a post-season game wherein
the NFL champion played a game against college all stars. I even seem
to remember the Green Bay Packers getting beat in one of those games.
I'm reasonable sure either LSU or Ohio State could beat the Ravens
tomorrow; but clearly the money invested in these players precludes
any stunt of that sort today. Still, it was fun.

I sparked my own curiosity & looked it up. To my surprise, these
games were played as recently as 1976. Apparently it was the 1963
Packers loss I remember. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/College_All-Star_Game
