Great footage of what looks like very exciting fishing. It was
interesting for me to see him wading in shallow water where I always
assumed the fjords would be steep banked, deep and eminently un-
wadable. Looks like a fellow on vacation there, with simple equipment
and a few deceivers, would be in business.

Cool.

I was surprised the guy released the fish. I thought that wasn't the
custom in Norway, and in fact was frowned up.

Your pal,

I know that you've referred to that report (or a similar one) in the
past, and I know of your negative opinions about C&R, but I was
referring to what I thought to be the reputation of Norwegian anglers --
that they normally keep their catch.

Obviously, I was mistaken.

Thought was the report, being made up of an eclectic group of
Norwegians, probably does echo the collective consciousness of that
country, whose fishing is integral to its heritage. I'd also humbly
suggest that the likelihood of a Norwegian to make a video such as
this (the classic pattern of rock music to fighting fish) would be
higher amongst sport-trophy only anglers than the basic subsistence
angler who thinks catching a fish is too ordinary to warrant video
production. I'd also venture to bet that the basic Norwegian angler
does keep (a portion of) his catch, culling it to maintain the fishery
to maximize sustainable harvest.

Your pal,

TBone
