Interesting,sort of

Saw this on eBay. note the serial number:

Now go here and scroll to the last rod on the page, and note the
serial number:
http://tinyurl.com/2npqda

Its not *earth shattering*, but for two 80 y.o. rods with serial
numbers only 12 apart to be surfacing at the same time, is sorta
interesting, I guess.

The first posting states the rod was from an estate. Maybe the
administrator of the estate decided to sell the best pieces
individually on eBay, and disposed of the rest, (note the description
of the condition of the second rod), to a dealer, in this case, Len
Codella. If this is the case, then it would not be unusual that some
rods would have serial numbers in the same series. The other
possibility is that very few of the rods were made, (it says so in the
eBay description), so all the rods would be in the same series.
