![]() I think that photo about sums it up. I used a coat hanger for mine. I found it easily malleable so I could tweak the positioning until I figured out just where I wanted the plate situated. I ended up not liking the foam. It wasn't rigid enough and found it tended to attract materials. I found mat board to be better, and is easily brushed/wiped clean. Any old cardboard with paper color of your choice affixed to it seems to work fine too. The end product isn't as nearly cool looking as the commercial plates (my wife asked "what the #### is that?" when I attached my home-made plate :rofl ![]() mentioned in response to my original question, the home grown $1+ versions seem to be just as effective. And at that price, you can try as many size or color variations as you'd like until you find something that works well. Thanks again for the suggestions. -- JW1970 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JW1970's Profile: http://www.njflyfishing.com/vBulleti...php?userid=428 View this thread: http://www.njflyfishing.com/vBulleti...ad.php?t=14064 ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Unrestricted-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =---- |
