Greg Hoover on Cicadas
Greg Hoover (PSU entomologist) has an article on Cicadas in the Spring 2008
issue of Fly Tyer magazine. It contains a fly pattern. Since you Penns Clavers seem interested, I phoned him today. He said the time you will be here is a bit early for Cicadas, but a few might be out. vince

Frank Reid Based upon my only experience with this brood in 1991, the cicada emergence will overlap the spinnerfall of the Green Drake. And the green drake duns come out with the white peony blooms.
