I tried this (Vyna Bond + Naptha as recoemneded by YouTube video) and
have only gotten a glob of VynaBond in the bottom of the jar. I have shaken and stirred, etc. Any advice? (Yes, I know Flexament is 3.00 a bottle ... :-), I just like experimenting.) |

![]() Sally Hansen hard as nails works great for me its cheap and you dont have to go to a fly shop to by it. I think their is nylon in it or special chemical that makes the head of your fly hard as nails.. Just remember when finishing your fly not to over crowd the head. -- theartoflee He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ theartoflee's Profile: http://www.njflyfishing.com/vBulleti...php?userid=876 View this thread: http://www.njflyfishing.com/vBulleti...ad.php?t=15343 ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Unrestricted-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =---- |

![]() Does the hard as nails come with a brush? If so brush the glue on before you finish the fly. It comes out much cleaner than applying the glue after the fly is finished. Wylie, For streamers try using Lock-Tite Gel! Its great for streamers and makes them near indestructible. I like to apply small parts of it after every step. -- ajfromnj Check out my website - The best trout fishing website in the Northeast! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ajfromnj's Profile: http://www.njflyfishing.com/vBulleti...hp?userid=2031 View this thread: http://www.njflyfishing.com/vBulleti...ad.php?t=15343 ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Unrestricted-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =---- |

![]() Hard as nails does come with a brush they even have one that has a pink finish that can be used for steelhead flies. When I tie streamers and hair wings(Canadian Goat) I like to use a product called fishing glue to secure the hair not the head. The fishing glue comes with a brush and drys the fastest of any glue I have found. When I stack hair specifically wool I some times apply fishing glue to my thread prior to spinning. It holds the hair much better when stacking if one does so.
