Default OT political ... uprising of the peasants?

I sent some money this morning to provide matching funds to encourage new
people to contribute to Obama.

Later, I received an e-mail saying they had found someone and my $5
contribution had been matched. Then a second that my $10 contribution had
been matched via a different new supporter. I became worried because
neither $5 nor $10 was what I had given and I feared some website problem
that would f--k up my personal accounting.

But, NOT to worry. The e-mails stopped coming when the total dollar
amount matched by new donors reached my actual pledge.

I can't really express how impressed I am by this experience.

The fact that I "matched" several $5 and $10 new supporters with my small
donation, the fact that his support is coming a few bucks at a time,
.... imho
.... says one hell of a lot
... all good
.... about the Obama campaign

Perhaps, but you have to ask yourself, "Who are these supporters?"

Go to: http://www.fec.gov/DisclosureSearch/mapApp.do

On the left, select Obama.

Under the map, in the far left box, select Employer

Skip "begins with"

In the blank box, type in Fannie Mae

Note the number of pages/people.

Then type in Freddie Mac

Again note the number of pages/people.

Then type in AIG

Note pages/people.

Now, go back to the column on the left and do the same for McCain.

A stark difference on where some of Obam's money has come from.

They're Americans Louie, many thousands of them donating mostly
small amounts of money in an unprecedented display of people
power. The GOP rat *******s can't **** on this parade, all they
can do is sit back and whine.

Want some cheese with that ? LOL !!!

I'm not whining, Ken. I am simply pointing out that FM and FRM and
AIG employees gave a whole helluva lot of money to Obama and not to
McCain. No whining. I win either way. Can YOU live with another
Republican WH? I can live with a Democrat, but I doubt you liberals
can live with a Rep. And it is very funny to sit back and wonder
where we (my conservative friends) are going to send people for a
suicide watch if McCain is elected.

"Rat *******s can't ****...." sure sounds like whining to me. d;o)

Perhaps you ought to look at some of the rules governing the money
used by candidates in elections?

You are always whining about something. Bloody boring.

What is that supposed to prove other than those folks are educated,
politically aware and overwhelmingly support Obama ?

I wouldn't worry about it, Louie.

It means that they work for FM and FRM, Obama is a Dem, and the Dems
have been caving in to these quasi-government agencies for year.
Since Obama was on the Federal Funancial Management Committee, he is
receiving money from folks he is supposed to be watching. And I'm not
even gonna mention Chris Don, Chair of Banking, Housing, and Urban
Affairs, or Chuckey Schummer, Char of Finance Committee, and good old
Barney Frank, Chair House Financial Services Committee, not will I
mention Rains, and Garelick from the Clinton Administration, and
Johnson, Howard, et al.

Edumacated? Man, if being educated means you must eat the **** these
folks have given us, I'll stay uneducated, tyvm. Sheeeesh.

I canīt for the life of me figure out why any normal sensible person
would give a politician money. Most especially not to finance his
campaign.

One major reason for your troubles at all, is your collective
obsession with money. Allowing these people to spend vast amounts of
money on their campaigns in the first place, is what excludes any
normal sensible person from becoming president. It is a game for rich
men, and you pander to it.
