Just wondered if rdean and Dave LaCross and any other such
magic of the market place unregulated free market thumpers
have seen the new documentary Gasland, currently showing on HBO right now.

And if so, do they (do you) have anything intelligent to say about it?

For instance, when free market pricing in no way even comes
close to reflecting hidden environmental costs, how is that the natural order of
things? How much unfettered free market hydraulic fracturing and drilling
will you stick up for, when it's your back yard watershed they
come drilling in?

What about the unreflected cost of oil volcanos in the Gulf?
How does free market pricing account for that?

Come on Dave, rdean. Afraid?
Chicken feases?
Meet me in the middle of the street, mf.
Show me what you're made of.
I'm ready. Are you?

Tell me how less regulation would have prevented this mess.
Tell me how free market supply and demand pricing (what redneck morons
are willing to spend to get what
they want) is all that matters.

Your choice of weapons. Pool cues?
Knives? Words? I'm ready.

Speak now or forever be known as a tongue-tied coward.

Lessee..... I got a Gasland thread, but no Gasland thread. And
what the **** are you talking about. What ever you are drinking, get
rid of it. Or is it smoking. Whatever....... Gasland? HBO? Huh?

You're drunk, Sandy. Sleep it off. Go fishing. Give us a nice TR.

Dave(and the only thing regulated in my life is my bowels)

PS: The LaCross schtick is juvenile at best. You know my name. Use it.

I cannot and will not speak for Louie, but at this point, and barring anything
further, I'll let this drop. That said, however, since you have gotten a bit
threatening on this forum, I'll respond here. Do not, under any circumstances,
ever, for any reason or in any manner threaten me and/or my family. You may
think it funny, others may it funny, but I do not know you and I will not treat
any further threat of any kind lightly, however humorous you may think it,
intend it, or claim it to be. Likely as not, I will not respond to you on this
forum ever again, nor do I wish any discussion or other interaction with you on
any subject. And consider this notice - do not email me or otherwise attempt to
contact me for any reason whatsoever.

I believe he is referring to the rush to exploit the Marcellus Shale
natural gas fields which have the potential to make the US first in
gas production. The shale underlies much of Penn, W.Va., etc.. The
process by which the gas is recovered calls for fracturing the shale
deep underground with large quantities of water under high pressure.
(Guess where the water is being taken from trout fiends?) aquifer and
stream damage in most areas where the fracturing process is used. The
Fed appear to have little control of it, the State regulators appear
to be "bought and paid for," and many in the fishing community are
very scared of this historically unprecedented threat to a major
portion of the Eastern US cold water fisheries.

While admitting that it has been a long time since I heard anything
about this project (and I didn't hear much about it then, either),
ISTR that the plan was to use salt water injection.
Is there a site giving more information.

cheers

Ive mostly heard about it thru a series of recent articles in "Trout,"
TUs magazine.
You can read their stuff at this addy. . .

http://www.tu.org/search/node/marcellus

If it doesn't work just go to www.tu.org and then pop their search
thing in the right upper corner with "marcellus."

Ive a little land in West Virginia with a gas and oil lease on it that
I may come to regret.

Dave
