A few notes on the progress of the swap:
So far, so good. The boxes are coming in and piling up on my desk. Pretty soon, I'm going to have to move everything to a larger work area. A couple swappers (Paul & one more) have sent their flies to my old PO box (42272). That's fine, it's still my box; but I don't get down to that part of town as often; so I'm sorry if my delay in picking up your packages has caused any anxiety. I've also received the first overseas set from Tony in Australia. (The kids think that's cool.) Photos & recipes: As in years past, Stan Gula has graciously offered to post the photos and recipes for this year's swap. If you plan to provide the recipe & tying instructions for your fly, please forward that electronically to Stan. Stan is also capable and willing to take all the photos, but if you want to send your own photo, that also should go directly to Stan. That email address is: sgula @ bellatlantic.net (take out the spaces) The FS2004 website has not been updated lately because I'm a tad slow in updating a few things on the home PC. Since getting DSL service, I can't directly access the ftp site of my old ISP through the new one. ASAP, I'll have to install an ftp utility to access it through the external ISP. As soon as I figger that out, I'll upload the revisions. OTOH, I may just move everything to the new ISP; but first I'll have to activate that personal web space thing. Either way, I'll let youse know. At this time, I've received boxes from the folks below; but I'll be hitting both P.O. boxes in the next couple days; and from the emails I'm receiving, I'm expecting quite a haul. Joe, check out CuteFTP (http://www.cuteftp.com/store/purchas...roduct=cuteftp). It's only $40 and it's what I use (not a single problem yet!). There is an evaluation copy also (http://www.cuteftp.com/downloads/cuteftp.asp) Very easy to use. -pw Paul Williamson Livingston, MT please use "paulwilliamson at spamcop.net" for e-mail thanks ----== Posted via Newsfeed.Com - Unlimited-Uncensored-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeed.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 100,000 Newsgroups ---= 19 East/West-Coast Specialized Servers - Total Privacy via Encryption =--- |
