I tied in the CDC, but not as you suggested--I'm just experimenting with patterns so anything goes really.

The first four pics are my most recent caddis with CDC:http://www.flickr.com/photos/47362605@N07/ Op If you have a need for tiny little adult caddis ... try wings of turkey biot I fish two such patterns for specific situations, about 20's after forming your body, tie in two biots, points forwards over the eye, in a tent like configuration. The biot wings can be trimmed at an angle, behind the body, and look really cool ... add a thorax, palmered with hackle, trim top and bottom .... to make it all even more "biot-y" use one ( probably different color ) wrapped for a neat, segmented, body as well as winging with them. |
