Openings for Girls at Conservation Camps
Where can girls best learn about Vermont blue birds, black bears, orienteering, canoeing, fly-fishing and gun safety while in an outdoor environment? All of these and more are subjects covered at the one-week Green Mountain Conservation Camp for girls held by the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department at Buck Lake in Woodbury and Kehoe Camp in Castleton. The department has just announced it still has openings during certain weeks this summer. The weeks with openings for girls a Buck Lake -- June 27 - July 2 Aug 1 - Aug 6 Bomoseen -- July 11 - July 16 July 18 - July 23 Aug 15 - Aug 20 The camps are open for girls 12-14 years of age. The cost is $175 for a week's stay, including food, lodging and equipment. Sponsor information is available.
