Believe it or not, this morning was the first one I've spent in a
trout stream with a trout rod in 2004. Pretty sad . . It's our daughter's birthday so the gand was arrving after lunch which gave me a few hours. Thanks to all the rain, the creek was very high and dirty. . . didn't matter, I had a go anyway but the lack of results were predictable. Still, I did get out. BTW, I started off the season right with a 1/4 Reid. The high water had scoured things a bit and I hadn't noticed, stepped off the bank into almost crotch deep water with one foot, while the other remained a foot up on the bank -- almost kept my balance. Wet the left forearm and shipped a little bit over the waders. Groin muscles remained intact, though I don't know how. The Madison's a good streamer river. Willi |

Peter I thought you were gonna be on the Rapid with the Pirate this week. No, the Rapid is out for me this June. I do have one trip planned to the Cape but that's it for the year. Last year, by this time I had done NC, PA, MI, with Byng Inlet and the Rapid on the horizon. It's gonna be a lean year. Peter |
