I would like to thank all who have responded to my previous posts. They have
been most-extremely-very- helpful. along the idea of sleeves and tubes....a 20 gauge hyper dermic needle works good. Thread mono down and back to make a loop. loop the hook of the fly and pull tight. Position (with a system of weights and measures) the hook a t the proper angle (upside down) and drip super glue or zap a gap down the needle until the small drop begins to come out the end with the hook. Bend needle to lock in glue and lay needle horizontal. When dry - VERY stable. Break off needle at desired length and push end into pre made hole of display case (with glue) later...add a drop of head cement at base of needle so it flows onto display base...works great, looks neat... Only problem remaining is background color for visibility but I'll come to that soon... Pics in binaries as soon as I get a camera (i.e.: borrow one) to take worthwhile pictures of the set up. thanks again john |
