Just pulled in from Lake George fellas, hope ya had a great week.

I'm proud to say that my club's 6-man team is now the 2004 New Jersey State
Team Champions, we weighed-in a total of over 116 pounds of fish (59 of a
possible 60 keepers) in the State Team Tournament. We outdistanced the 2nd
place team by around 5 pounds, and two of my team members (Joe Jackson & Don
Carbonneau) grabbed one of the top 6 spots & made the 2005 State Team. I
finished in roughly 10th place, about a pound off the State Team pace but
I'm not complaining. I weighed-in 10.50 & 10.60 limits during the 2-day
event, although I thought I could do better based on my practice earlier in
the week. Guys from my team claimed 4 of the top 20 spots, not bad for a
field of over 200 of the Federation's best guys. It was an honor & a
pleasure to be part of my club's team at Lake George, it was a true
team-effort & all 6 guys contributed to this great victory.

WAY TO GO TRI-STATE BASSMASTERS !!!

Great job Warren. No team I have been on ever finished higher than 5th.

Does your federation have two tournaments, each qualifying a six man team for
the Regional?

Thanks alot Ronnie - no, just one. That gets 6 guys on the State Team. The
other 6 come from the regular season points standings, which are derived
from the 5 Federation Points tourneys they hold.

Excellent, Warren. Sounds like everyone contributed to the team's success.
Well done!

Lots of good bass caught, evidently. What were the productive patterns
there?

Thanks alot Joe, Steve, doS - The bite was much tougher than last time.
Fortunately the deep water dropshot pattern I picked up on last time was
still producing well, although all the shallow stuff had dematerialized. We
caught our bass in 17-20 feet, on unmarked humps & shoals & on the North
ends of tapering, chunk-rock islands. This pattern was very strong.

Joe, did I mention I also took the award for best-dressed competitor? I'll
send some pics asap...

Warren ;-)
