They are very nice for cold moving water in larger streams and rivers like
when you are fishing trout, steelhead and salmon. They have 15' tips normally and are great for situations where that length is needed. They have nice welded loops now with 5 each 15' tips. You get a 15' floating tip, 15' clear slow sinking tip, 15' type 3 tip and 15' type 6 tip and now a 15' type 8 tip. We add in a longer tip to the mix like a Rio 'Big Boy' 24' 200 grains for getting a little deeper at times. They come designed for single handed rods (line size 4 through 10) as well as double handed (Spey) rods. They are not designed for all fly fishing applications. -- Bill Kiene Kiene's Fly Shop Sacramento, CA, USA Web site: www.kiene.com "matrobw" wrote in message news:V0EFc.3144$JR4.1906@attbi_s54...
