![]() after posting about preferred times I went out at 3:30 this morning. Couldn't quite get up at 2:30 but when the alarm went off the second time I went outside and there wasn't as much as a slight wind blowing. Top water time. Both Dave and Tom failed to show up as promised so off I went. I rigged up a SK bleeding bait buzzbait, A black and white zara spook, a secret weapon "midnight snack" and a wacky rigged wacko. The lake was like glass when I arrived. I launched and started working the open water around the launch as it was productive the day before with the buzzbait, but that was yestrday and today was today, Not a bite, switched to the spook, spinnerbait and worm still nothing. Made my way past the first point casting the buzzbait and trolling on low. My first fish of the morning turns out to be a nice LM between two and a half and three pounds. Well I was sold, buzzbait it is. I continued fishing the buzzbait for the next 2 hours landing 4 more fish, the biggest was probably right under 4 lbs and the others in the 2-3 lb range. I had about 8 or 9 more fish explode on the buzzbait and either spit it or miss it all together. Tomorrow is trailer hook time. The one that was about 4 lbs missed the buzzbait the first two times. I waited a few minutes cast back in and it nailed it right at the boat. Talk about your heart stopper!! After that I had a few swirls and explosions on the buzzbait. I fished the spinnerbait for a while and caught a toothy critter but no more bass. I was packed up and off the lake by 6:30 Things I learned: If it's calm, I'm always going out early If it's early, always bring a net and a flashlight. Bring a hat if your bald. Bugs bite and images look better. ()posted to a.b.p.f) |

outfitted for fishing at night. So, whenever you are ready to talk to my wife about the Triton... I'm ready to sell you the Nitro! She's been awaiting that call. I think she's even been practicing tell you "No". LOL Oh yeah... the hat is an excellent idea until your hair grows back out! Randy, sometimes when they miss that buzzbait try a "comeback lure" like that
Senko or a trick worm.Usually they find it too hard to resist. "alwaysfishking" wrote in message news ![]() after posting about preferred times I went out at 3:30 this morning.
