Default broke my duck - twice.

I've been fishing a local club lake for a few weeks now with no success..
tonight - fishing dog biscuits - landed a low double figure carp and.... a 6
oz duckling....

the duckling (and its mum) were not impressed with the action of it being
reeled in 60m across the lake.
much furious quacking and a great deal of splashing...
(didn't need the landing net)

released with no harm done.. (except a few ruffled feathers)

mum and brood retired up the bank and spent the next five minutes putting
their feathers back in order..
then went back to nicking my dog biscuits...

!

Once they've learned a food they'll recognise it and home in :-(
You're going to have to change baits for (at least) a few months.

Cheerio,
