Default Seeking Kern River info

I intend to fish the Upper Kern above Kernville, including the special regs
section above the Johnsondale Bridge next weekend. Any suggestions on flies
and tactics for this time of year would be appreciated. I usually fish from
the Forks of the Kern upriver on both the Kern and Little Kern and I
haven't spent much time on these lower sections of the river. My best guess
is little yellow stoneflies in the riffles, but more experienced input would
be great.

TIA,
Danl

Thanks, Eric. I'll have some additional time to read that bb and do some
other investigations as the weekend trip just got postponed.

Danl,
I brought the flu home from the San Juan. Nasty intestinal bug. Gave it to
the rest of the family and they all blamed it on me for fishing with ya'll.
I told them it couldn't have been the bunch I fished with because I a saw a
photo of you walking on water. Therefore, how could have I gotten ill while
in the presence of flyfishers on such a "holy water"? They said "Yeah,
right..."
Hope you get feeling better.

Thanks for the thought, Guy. I'd trade in my ability to walk on water (well,
temporarily) if I could just get someone to exorcise the Phlegm Demons from
my respiratory track. I note that there doesn't seem to be a record among
the Guinness Book folks regarding the excretion of excess mucous. Perhaps
there lies my fifteen minutes of fame.

Danl

must be the fever....
