Help!
I disassembled my old Hardy Multiplier I will be using on the Lake Fork this week. A small v-shaped spring came out of the handle assembly and I don't know how it goes back in. Couldn't find a diagram on the internet. Any help would be appreciate. Guy "My dog's bark is my command" |

Guy,
What's the chance that spring had something to do with the "clicker" on your reel? On some reels, the removable spring determines if your reel is to be a left or right-handed. On some, it is both. Too bad those bearings fell out... If they can fall out, you might be able to get them back in. Patience, patience, patience... Ciao! --Dave Eriksen "Guy Thornberg" wrote in message ... Help! I've found Hardy Bros themselves incredibly helpful on the phone when
I've called them in Alnwick (really, really great Northumbrian accent there) about old kit. 01665-510027 is the number from London therefore from the States it's the international code followed by 44 -1665-510027. Don't forget the time difference. Lazarus -- Remover the rock from the email address |

Thank you gentleman!
After the bearings fell out, I just took it completely apart to clean and re-grease. I did figure out how the spring went back in. It put pressure on the spool release to keep the spool in place. So simple, so efficient. And I will keep Hardy's #. As for patience... I ran out yesterday. Today I painted the entry that is 20 feet high using my Little Giant Ladder. I just ran out of energy today. The wife and dog are still in bed... :-( Thanks again, Guy :-) "Lazarus Cooke" wrote in message om... I found Hardy USA totaly useless. The line guide (Yes. That "U"
shaped piece of metal that gives the line a smooth surface to rub on when the line is pulled out on an angle. The part that has to be defective to break.) on the reel broke. They told me that even though the reel was warranted, I'd have to pay $18 plus shipping. Some warranty!! After seeing it was useless to continue, I gave my credit card number. Never got the part. At least they did not charge my credit card. Finally built the part myself out of silver. |
