![]() "Galen Zink" wrote in message ... At what water temperature do Largemouth Bass move into the shallows to start the spawn? Thanks.... The lake I was fishing today had a water temp of 47 degrees. Fished my butt off but didn't catch anything. Typically, bass spawn in 60 degree or warmer water. At least I don't find spawning activity in my area until water temps get to at least 60. -- Steve @ OutdoorFrontiers http://www.outdoorfrontiers.com G & S Guide Service and Custom Rods http://www.herefishyfishy.com |

60 - 65 degrees around here... but your mileage may vary. What area of the
country are you in? Maybe we have someone here close to you that could give you a better answer for your area. "Galen Zink" wrote in message ... A week ago we still had fish on beds and the water temp in some areas was in
the high 60s approaching 70 in some protected back waters. I am sure that some of the big fish weighed in came off beds. "Galen Zink" wrote in message ... I am in South central Wisconsin. |

I believe 60 - 65 degrees to be a fairly accurate estimate for our area (I'm
located in SW WI) Galen. Now, if we could reverse engineer Mr. Peabody's "Way Back Machine" and magically skip past April we'd be sittin' pretty. J.P. "Galen Zink" wrote in message ... I am in South central Wisconsin. |

Galen, I too am from the Southern area of Wisconsin.
I fish the Puck quite often. Excellent fishery for bass and pike. |

No I haven't. I don't have a boat at the moment...makes finding decent
fishing spots pretty tough as you might imagine. So, until my finances take a turn for the better it's shore fishing for me! "Galen Zink" wrote in message ... You ever fish Lake Puckaway JP? |

JP, you can always rent a boat at most lakes for about $20-$30 a day.
I know they have 2 or 3 boat rentals places on Puckaway. |
