Anyone here local to the Schoharie Creek in NY? I've fished it as a kid and
now that I have relocated back to the county of my birth, I find myself fishing ever other day. Great smallmouth action as well as walleyes. Just curious. Duane |

Duane I'm not local to it, but I usually get up to the Mohawk at least once in the summer and always make it a point to run up the creek a bit. When the river's smallies often stack up in the schoharie. My daughter's in-laws sold the farm in Canajoharie, so I don't have as much excuse to drive up there any more, but I expect I'll get there at least once this summer or early fall. |

Today I spent a couple hours at the Burtonsville bridge fishing generic
black and yellow 3/8 oz jigs from Wallmart. I caught a dozen 8-10" smallmouths along with three nice keepers in the 13-14 inch neighborhood. The kicker was the 22 inch walleye caught on the same cheap jigs. Fish the Schoharie if you're in the area. Duane "DUANE DOSTIE" wrote in message ... Anyone here local to the Schoharie Creek in NY?
