Steve Leveen in his small book mentions a using computerized dictionary
where you hear the word pronounced ---say sangfroid or roman 'a clef -

I'm sure you can tell me where to acquire such a program.

If you find one, ask it how to pronounce molé. :-)

On my connection, it comes out "z'uh-mulluh", or maybe "z-mull"

I checked that reference for molé. It seems to handle diacritical marks
strangely. I got 12 hits. All but one were variants of mole (the
chemical term) or abbreviations of molecule. The exception was an
acronym for Manned Orbital Laboratory. Not a hint of the burrowing
mammalian insectivore, nor of a chocolate-based Mexican sauce.
