Moosehead Lake in July?

I'm going to be staying in Maine near Moosehead Lake in July and was
wondering if anyone had any experience or advice on fishing the lake or the
surrounding region.

1. Two Kennebec River outlets on the west side
of L. Moosehead.
2. West Branch Penobscot 20 or 30 miles north
via gravel road: bad for flies, good for moose.
3. The Moose River between Brassua Lake and
L. Moosehead used to offer the easiest fishing:
but alteration of the dam pool 15 years ago has
probably still wrecked the fishing.
