Went up to Clear Lake to see my old friends from CCR perform at the Konocti
Harbor. Great show. Actually a fantastic show except for the lead in group. They SUX, Did not get out fishing Saturday until about noon. Fished Senkos and frogs. Nada on the Senko and lots of blowups on the frog and one about 4 pounds got to visit the boat. Camera is still in the boat, so no pics available yet. That was it for the day. Sunday, talked to a guide and he only had 5 for 3 people and I got one 1.2# on a white spinner bait. Lots of shad, and the Grebes were catching lots as well as carrying around the babies on the back. Maybe too much food to get a real good bite going. Water was still a little cool for this time of year. 74-75 degrees. Cool at night and only about 80 during the day. Need a little more heat to get the frog bite going. All in all was a nice weekend. Fishing was great, catching could of been better. Carp were spawing, and may also of messed up the bass bite in the weeds. Off to Oregon on Friday after a funeral for my wifes highschool friend. Big C. |
