It's kind of like the lottery though, you can't win if you don't play!

))))))I'm just refining my hook set that's all, Harry and I already spoke
about next year. Dairy Queen on the water.. I'll let him hold the trophy on
the way home :-)

I only fished cabbage in 2 to 3 feet of water. I was using a Rapala
DT6 in black and silver. I had tried shallow running crankbaits with a
wider wobble but they didn't work as well. I just held my rod high to
get the lure up as much as possible.

Spoken like a true Gentleman Steve. I'm glad that the NWC was so successful,
just wish I could have been there. I'd be kicking myself, but I've only got
one good leg right now. LOL

WTG Gary, congrats!

Steve, I'm thinkin that maybe you outta hire Gary for a day or two on

the
water...

Why? Had I not lost three keepers the day before, it could have been an
entirely different story. Had I not lost two nice fish on Day Two, it

might
have been a different story as well. He had one pattern, I had another.
The fact is, he came, he figured out a winning pattern and he kicked some
butt. I'm happy for him, he figured out how to catch bass on Boom Lake

last
year, he figured out how to catch bass on Lake Mohawksin, he deserved to
win.

I'm not upset, I'm not envious. I've taken Big Bass in two out of the

last
three ROFB tournaments, and finished in the money this year. I've made
every ROFB event except the first one, so I'm happy with my results, I've
weighed fish in every event I attended.

Steve, I can't see your reply directly, only in Charles' message. I was
just kidding dude, thought you'd see the humor in my post; I was
complimenting Gary for his great fishing, and just busting your stones a
bit.

Not sure what I've done to upset a few of the regulars here, particularly
ones that I considered long-time friends. I just wish someone would fill me
in (via email of course)...

Guess I'll just go fishing.

WW

Great job Gary. I envy anyone who can win two of these things -
especially back to back, and bring in the first limit, too. You are an
excellent fisherman and a pleasure to fish against - I would not kid you
unless I respected your ability to catch fish and the way you handle it.
I look forward to fishing against you in many future NWC tournaments -
and maybe someday with you, too.

Glad the tackle box went to your son. Hope it works.

The tournament was great and the fellowship before and after even
better. I am already looking forward to next year - no matter what lake
it is on!
