Default kootenai river fishing

ROFFers:

Have any of you fished the Kootenai River in Montana, below Libby Dam?
Anybody know what the conditions and weather are like in early October?
Is there any dry-fly action? Can a fellow wade or is a boat required?

Thanks,

John
